Ian's 1st Blog

     My name is Ian Bracken, I'm from Anchorage Alaska. I'm in my 2nd year of college, my major is elementary education. I was born in North Pole lived there for 8 years then moved to Anchorage and now I have moved back for school. I don't really have that big of a heart for art, but I hope in taking this class I find a better aspiration for art. 

    I was in Art 200 before I decide it was best for me to move to Music 200. I love music it brings to a safe place. I listen to all types of music country, rap, hip hop, No heavy metal though. Music has always been in my life forever just like a lot of people. When it's not a good day or just a long day Music tends to put me in a better mood.

    Party in the USA?! You didn't say you were a musical veteran ! Definitely a top hit, you have shown your music taste to be lovely. I also really enjoy your piece about art, music is an art form and a lot of people forget this, it is really nice to see someone who really wants to explore the spectrum of art in its entirety.

Musical Analysis of Location by Khalid  The song I picked this week is "Location" by Khalid. I picked this song because I have loved it since I was a kid. I listened to it every day and I still due to this day. It's a song I will listen to when I'm doing homework and relax. He states in an interview that the lyrics are about ""young love"- the kind that would make a person "travel all over the country" in order to find." Pinocchio (2022)- Music and the Fictive Dream

  Pinocchio         Pinocchio is a live action musical fantasy   film  that is a remake of the 1940's Walt Disney's  animated feature film   Pinocchio . Which the animated film was based off of an  1883 Italian book The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. The movie sets place in a small Italian village in 1990. There are 3 main carters in the movie Jiminy Cricket who is appointed  to be the conscience ( teach Pinocchio right from   wrong ) for Pinocchio  by the Blue fairy that made   him  a real boy, then there's  Geppetto who is the wood carver  that made Pinocchio based on is deceased son and wished for him to be a real boy, and lastly there's Pinocchio who is the wooden puppet.     I've Got No Strings It was hard to pick a song because I wanted to find a song that summarized the point of the movie.
